Mission

As an Operations & Partnerships Intern at Poppins, you’ll play a key role in scaling our sharing marketplace. You’ll help us grow our network of rental shops and partners, support the success of our users, and keep internal operations running smoothly. If you’re hands-on, people-savvy, and ready to learn how a startup scales from the inside, we’d love to hear from you.

1. Partnerships & Business Development

  • Source, approach, and onboard new rental shops, local businesses, and non-profit partners to join the Poppins platform.
  • Support relationship management with existing partners and help them succeed on the platform.
  • Help structure scalable onboarding processes and partner toolkits.
  • Track partnership activity and surface insights to guide future growth.

2. Operations & Customer Success

  • Be the first line of support for users—delivering quick, human, and helpful answers via email, chat, app, or social media.
  • Identify user pain points and help advocate for fixes or improvements internally.
  • Assist in documenting playbooks, FAQs, and workflows to help users and the team.
  • Support internal operations across logistics, inventory, user flow testing, and process improvements.

3. Team Collaboration & Special Projects

  • Collaborate with the team on experiments to improve our sourcing, logistics, and local footprint.
  • Pitch in on growth and marketing initiatives linked to partnerships.
  • Bring structure and initiative—spot inefficiencies and propose better ways of doing things.

You’re a fit if you:

  • Love connecting with people and building win-win relationships
  • Are curious, self-starting, and eager to learn how things work behind the scenes
  • Communicate clearly and naturally, both in writing and conversation
  • Are organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks
  • Are fluent in French and English

Bonus points if:

  • You’ve worked in business development, operations, customer support, or events
  • You’ve used Intercom, Attio, Notion or other operational tools
  • You’re data-savvy.

How does Poppins ensure safe exchanges?

Poppins implements several measures to ensure safe and reliable exchanges:
User verification: From registration, every member goes through a validation step to ensure the reliability of our community.
Mutual reviews (coming soon!): After each exchange, lenders and borrowers can review each other to build trust and highlight good practices 🌟
Reporting system: Any issues? You can report problems or inappropriate behavior directly through the app. We’re here to step in quickly.

What should I do if an item is damaged, not returned, or stolen?

Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly, but if there’s an issue, don’t panic! Follow these steps:
Contact our Poppins support team within 3 days of the scheduled return date. We’re here to help 📨
All items shared via Poppins are insured, and we’re committed to repairing or replacing them if necessary.
Each case is handled individually to verify the insurance’s applicability (see the terms of use).
In the case of suspected theft, our team will analyze the case and take appropriate measures.
