Backend Engineer (Stage)

We're on a mission to revolutionize the sharing economy with an innovative “one-stop shop” platform. Think of us as a blend of Nextdoor and Airbnb, but laser-focused on sharing everyday items with your neighbours and local stores. Currently in beta in Paris, we're gearing up for a big app store launch in Q1, and we need your engineering skills to make it a success!

As we grow, we’re looking for a Backend Engineer for an internship to improve both the user experience of our application and our automation for the operational team and internal tooling.

About the Role

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll join our Tech team to build new features and help scaling the product to maximize our growth - both geographically and the user density in every area.

Work rhythm

• 3 days per week in our Paris office.
• Mentored by five engineers (including 3 backends) with 10+ years of experience.

Ways of Working

• Maximizing the use of Optimistic UI approach.
• Pragmatical mindset: Think big, build iteratively.
• Automated workflows with tools like Linear, Graphite, and Cursor…
• Fostering initiative and collaboration in shaping the product and technical stack.

What We’re Looking For

• Hard Skills: You have experience with Python and a solid grasp of how APIs work. You’re proficient with version control like Git. Bonus points if you’ve  explored frameworks such as FastAPI and Google Cloud Platform.
• Adaptability: Strong understanding of modern technologies and a keen willingness to learn new ones.
• Motivation: You’re driven and eager to learn. While we’ll provide the training and support needed to get you up to speed, your motivation will be the key for your development and success.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively challenge and engage with various stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, French is a plus.
