Article I. Use of cookies

Browsing on the POPPINS website the address of which is www.wearepoppins.com  (together the “App”) results in the deposit of cookies on the terminal of the App user (hereinafter referred to as the "User"). 

Cookies are small text files that may be stored in a dedicated space on the hard disk of the User's terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone) when an online service is consulted, thanks to the browser software, which collects a certain amount of data on the User's browsing (e.g. date, time and number of visits, source of arrival, preferences). This information is never processed individually by POPPINS.

Article II. Purpose of cookies

POPPINS uses cookies to analyze its App activity: by obtaining cookies, POPPINS is able to obtain information on the number of visitors and traffic to the site, and thus measure its performance. 

Article III. Types of cookies used 

Cookies can be "Persistent" or "Session" cookies. Persistent cookies remain on User’s personal computer or mobile device when the User goes offline, while Session Cookies are deleted as soon as the User closes their web browser.

We use both Session and Persistent cookies for the purposes set out below :

1. Session cookies 

These cookies are essential to provide the Users with services available through the App and to enable Users to use some of its features. They help to authenticate Users and prevent fraudulent use of User accounts. Without these cookies, the services that Users ask for cannot be provided, and POPPINS only uses these cookies to provide Users with those services.

3. Functionality Cookies

These cookies allow us to remember choices the Users make when they use the App, such as remembering the Users’ login details or language preference. The purpose of these cookies is to provide Users with a more personal experience and to avoid Users having to re-enter their preferences every time they use the App.

4. Tracking and Performance Cookies

These Cookies are used to track information about traffic to the App and how Users use the App. The information gathered via these cookies may directly or indirectly identify a User as an individual visitor. This is because the information collected is typically linked to a pseudonymous identifier associated with the device the User uses to access the App. We may also use these cookies to test new pages, features or new functionality of the App to see how our Users react to them.

Article IV. Cookie settings

When entering the App, you have the option to refuse the use of cookies. The deposit of cookies on the User's terminal requires the User's consent, which is valid for a maximum of 13 months. This period is not extended by the User's subsequent visits. On entering the POPPINS App, a banner indicates that POPPINS uses this technology, and that by continuing to use the App, the User accepts the deposit of cookies on their terminal. If the User does not wish for cookies to be stored on their terminal, they may refuse them by deactivating cookies in their browser.

The deletion of functional cookies, which are necessary for the provision of content by POPPINS, may prevent the User from accessing certain content on the App. POPPINS declines all liability for the consequences linked to the degraded performance of its App resulting from the impossibility of recording or consulting the cookies necessary for the functioning of the site, and of which you would have refused the deposit or requested the deletion.

Article V. Processing and storage of cookies

The data generated by the cookies used to analyze App activity (including the User's IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by the relevant service provider. 

Article VI. Other tracking technologies 

POPPINS uses additional tracking technologies to continually analyze and improve its services.
The technologies POPPINS use may include but are not limited to:

• Web Beacons : certain sections of our website and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit POPPINS or our service providers for example, to count Users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related App statistics (for example, recording the popularity of a certain section and verifying system and server integrity).
